California resident Krishen Iyer, a business executive with recent experience as the chief executive officer of Iyer Health Shield, serves as a real estate developer at his own firm in Fresno. An engaged community member, Krishen Iyer supports charitable organizations such as Wounded Warriors and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation was founded in 1980 to help make the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses come true. The organization, which is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, makes a wish become a reality every 38 minutes on average. To complete this work, the foundation depends on charitable contributions and fundraising efforts, including the Adopt-A-Wish program.
The Adopt-A-Wish program allows individuals to directly contribute to making the wish of a child come true. Once program participants contribute to the initiative, they receive a wish story and photo of the child they helped. The program is open to both individuals and organizations, and helps to ensure funds are available to cover the wishes of all eligible children. In addition to helping a child, program participants receive complimentary membership in the Wish Society and acknowledgment in the foundation’s annual report.
